Shoreline Children's Dentistry
At Shoreline Children’s Dentistry, we take pride in providing a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for our patients and their parents! We know that dentistry during childhood can set the stage for lifelong good habits, and we want to help your child see visits to the dentist as something to look forward to.
Each member of our team is a dedicated professional, and we’d like to take a moment to introduce ourselves.
Meet Our Team
Dr. Kate Glazer, D.M.D., M.S.
Dr. Kate Glazer, affectionately known as Dr. Kate by her patients, grew up on the shoreline of Connecticut and is thrilled to be practicing here, in the area she considers home. Dr. Kate earned her Bachelors degree from Tufts University, then went on to receive her DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (where she also happened to meet her husband, Jason).
Feeling the call to continue her education, she then attended Ohio State University, and this was where she received her specialized training in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Kate knew from a young age that she wanted to become a dentist. The practice that she went to as a child was a fun place to be, and the dentists she had as a child inspired her to go into the same profession. Perhaps one day, some of her young patients will go on to become dentists themselves!
For Dr. Kate, the best thing about her job is getting to know her patients and watching them grow and blossom before her eyes. It’s especially exciting when a child who was once nervous or apprehensive makes the transformation into a happy and confident patient.
Dr. Kate maintains memberships in several professional organizations. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She also holds memberships in the American Dental Association (ADA), the Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA), and the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists (CSPD).
Dr. Kate and her husband live in Madison with their two beautiful boys, Joshua and Andrew, and their crazy dog, Marley.
Aubrey, Patient Care Coordinator
The smiling face at the front desk is Aubrey, our Patient Care Coordinator. She has worked in the dental field for over 15 years, as both an assistant and front desk staff. She keeps the office running smoothly and can help answer your questions about insurance or scheduling. When she is not working, she is busy remodeling the home she shares with her boyfriend Mike, or chasing after her 2 rescue dogs: Chunk and Sherman. She enjoys cooking, spinning and spending time with her family.
Mary-Lee, Dental Assistant
Mary-Lee has years of experience interacting with children in the dental environment, and has been working side-by-side with Dr. Kate for over 7 years. She is particularly wonderful at helping our patients feel calm and safe, even through the most difficult dental procedures. As a busy mom to daughter Shamrah, and sons Branden and Keyton, she is always on the move- at work and at home! She and her family are happiest when they are off exploring and camping together!
Maria, Dental Hygienist
Maria has lived and worked as a dental hygienist in the Shoreline community for over 20 years, and she is passionate about instilling proper oral hygiene in our patients. Her secret: she makes taking care of teeth fun! Maria has a knack for conversation with patients of all ages which makes her a perfect fit for our office. In her free time she enjoys running, cycling and spending time with her two daughters.
Rachel, Dental Hygienist
Rachel has been working as a hygienist for the past 15 years, and her favorite part of the job has always been working with kids--no offense to all of you adults out there! Of course, this makes her a perfect fit for our team. She is outgoing, friendly and has a wonderful way of making each child comfortable at the dental office. She even turns most visits into a downright fun experience for the kids! She has five children of her own (yes, five!), and for now they are what keep her busy-whether it be sporting events, theater productions, bike riding, trips to the beach, or skiing.
