Services & Procedures

What qualities are important in a dentist for your child?

You want someone with skill and experience, of course, but patience and compassion are also necessary qualities. You want someone you can trust to do the right thing and also someone whom your child can trust and build a strong rapport with.

Pediatric dentist Dr. Kate Glazer and her team at Shoreline Children’s Dentistry are all of these things and more.

As a mother herself, Dr. Kate knows how much you value your child’s health, and she is committed to giving your child the care and attention that she would provide for her own children.

Our Guilford, CT pediatric dental office takes pride in offering comprehensive services for your child. We can perform a range of therapies and treatments to preserve your child’s healthy and beautiful smile!

Preventive Care

Preventive care is the foundation of any dental treatment plan. A good brushing and flossing routine along with regular check-ups will help to prevent most problems from ever developing. Our hygienists are specially trained to provide cleanings to children, and we’ve made it easy for kids to sit still during their treatment with TVs installed right over the chairs in our treatment rooms!

We also provide additional preventive care options such as fluoride treatments, sealants to protect developing teeth from cavities, and mouth guards for our young athletes.

Emergency Care

When you have a dental emergency, you want help to be available quickly. We are always available to help in the event of a dental emergency or an accidental injury. Call us right away if you need help – even if it’s after hours.

Restorative Treatment

If your child is troubled by decay, infections, or other concerns, you want solutions that are appropriate for his or her age and stage. Dr. Kate’s special training allows her to perform fillings, place crowns, and treat infections of all kinds.

Special Needs and Behavioral Concerns

Many parents are concerned about how their child will manage a visit to the dentist’s office, and Dr. Kate understands your fears. We have a number of techniques that we can use to help guide your child’s behavior and provide care to all children.

You know your child best, and Dr. Kate respects that. If your child has special needs, please let us know so that we can discuss care with you and create an appropriate treatment plan.
